Cutting your own hair is easy!
Recently, I was surfing around the Internet as usual, when I came across a startling tidbit of information. A lot of people want to know how to cut black hair! And, while there are plenty of sites with gripes about the lack of hairdressers outside of the cities who know how to cut black hair, none offered any real solution to the problem.
To quote an oft-used phrase, which certainly fits in this case: "If you want something done right, you've got to do it yourself."
So I made this site, to show how to do just that. Cut your own black hair, and break free of the notion that there is any need for finding someone else to do it!
And of course, you can adapt this information to cut someone else's black hair, too.
But first things first.
Before I get down to the info, I want to let you all know a few things up-front. First, there is a big difference in "cutting" hair and "styling" it. This site will tell you how to cut natural (unstraightened/untreated), black hair. What you do with it after that is up to you.
The techniques on this site will get you a good haircut for natural black hair at any length the clipper manufacturers make combs at. Personally I like my hair VERY short, and I'm the model in the pictures, so what you will see is a haircut that ends up at 1/2-inch. It's an "androgynous" cut. I see more men with it than women, but there are a few of us girls who also enjoy the liberation of having hair short enough that it literally takes care of itself!
But enough chat for now...
Let's cut some black hair!
